… With that in mind, Wine Director Chris Lara has assembled an assortment of wines that display the inner nature of our restaurant. Our wine menu features a deep collection of beautifully maintained and aged California and Washington Cabernet Sauvignon verticals as well as the most sought after Pinot Noirs from California. In addition, we have sought out the “cult”, “garagiste” and “I can’t believe you have it” wines. However, it would be impossible to appeal to all wine lovers without offering affordability and flexibility. We have many wine treasures that are priced under forty dollars, because we believe inexpensive doesn’t have to mean cheap. We also offer the world’s greatest wines by the glass poured from our Enomatic and Perlage wine preservation systems. As wine lovers ourselves, we hope that our wine program provides the key for you to unlock some great wine discoveries and experiences at John Howie Steak.


John Howie Steak provides private wine service for your personal collection. We will professionally store and catalogue your wines on site, in your own temperature-controlled wine locker. When dining at John Howie Steak you will be presented with your personal wine list adding a special touch to your dining experience. Our sommelier will provide you with a personal consultation of your locker wines, a current wine locker inventory, and recommendations to drink or hold as the wines in your collection reach maturity. Note: Wine locker holders are waived the usual corkage fees for up to three bottles per visit. Please contact Sommelier/Wine Director Chris Lara to reserve your personal locker.
